January Team

Have you heard enough about these kids that you’re ready to meet them for yourself???

Don’t you worry.  Your opportunity is right around the corner.

January 14-21, 2012

$650 + the cost of airfare

The registration deadline for the January trip to Proniño is coming up quickly and I’m very excited about what our project will be.  I’ve blogged a few times in the past about the importance of Proniño having a psychologist in the center again and when telling David’s story I talked about the importance of games.  Well, I’m so happy to say that our project is going to focus on both of those things!  Proniño should be hiring a psychologist in the first month or two of 2012 and our project is to get the office and supplies ready for him/her.  The office most likely is currently a long forgotten storage room that will need to be cleaned and painted.  We may also be building some furniture for the office.  But the part that I’m most excited about is the supplies.  We’ll be bringing some therapeutic games, puzzles, puppets, etc. down with us.   We will paint and clean for 2-3 days and then the other days we’ll have the opportunity to do some playing with the kids and getting them acquainted to  this space.  It will be the kickoff to a very important addition to Proniño!  If you are interested or have questions, please contact me very soon!

And, of course, there’s only 5 more days of the Proniño fundraiser.  A large part of having a psychologist is, well, paying their salary!  Your donation will bring them one step closer to being able to provide something so necessary for the kids.  Click here to donate!
